High atop the Colorado Plateau (5000 - 7000 feet above sea level), we will hike into spectacular Salt Creek Canyon. This 22 mile canyon complex was home to the intriguing Anasazi Indians, a people who inhabited the area over 700 years ago and left many examples of their presence. There will be many opportunities to see Anasazi artwork and to explore ancient ruins.
