In 1997, the current administration, along with members and local alumni decided to initiate what has long been dreamed of: The UCMC Outdoor Leadership Scholarship Program. In 1999 the Club renamed the Fund as: The Steve Must Memorial Scholarship, in honor of a beloved member of the Club who had recently died.

Briefly, the goal of the program is to provide financial assistance for undergraduate members to attend professional wilderness/outdoor education programs. The members are then required to bring their newly acquired skills and knowledge back to the Club to share with everyone. This section of the UCMC web site will explain the details of the program.
